This 900 square foot home in the heritage district in Cobourg was gutted to the bare studs, reconfigured and then was tripled in size.
Much more space was needed without losing too much of the backyard, so we built 1000 square feet on the back of the house for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, created an open-concept floor plan in the existing part of the house, and then added a second story to the house for flex-space.
This renovation was polished with a new kitchen, all new bathrooms, custom hardwood flooring and a custom hand-made staircase.
Building up instead of out can be a great way to save your outdoor living space; so you can have the greatest house and backyard in the neighbourhood.
